Its use provides nearly unparalleled image sharpness, contrast, and vibrant colors, especially when photographing deep-sky objects. Alongside the filter set, the new Astronomik L-1, L-2, or L-3 UV/IR block filters are highly recommended.
During the design of the filter set, the main focus was on ensuring that its transmission curve aligns as closely as possible with modern sensors and the most important emission wavelengths, resulting in exceptionally good contrast and signal-to-noise ratio. It was also important to minimize the size of stars, enhancing the aesthetic quality of the image.
Like other Astronomik filters, the Deep-Sky RGB filter set is made from particularly durable and scratch-resistant glass, free from stress and characterized by the most precisely machined surface.
