The Astronomik Luminance UV/IR filters are designed to maximize performance with all types of telescopes, ensuring the best possible signal-to-noise ratio and sharpest detail during deep-sky photography. The Astronomik Luminance is an advanced UV/IR block filter, with a transmission curve fine-tuned to the characteristics of the optical system.
The Luminance filter is available in three versions:
- The L-1 filter has the widest transmission range. It is recommended when the optical system is completely free of chromatic aberration.
- The L-2 filter is a general-purpose filter, most often suggested when there is a corrector or reducer in the light path.
- The L-3 is primarily recommended for refractors where color correction is not perfect, as it minimizes the bluish halo around stars when used with Deep-Sky RGB filters.
