The Acuter Traverse Pro azimuthal GoTo mount offers rapid setup, portability, and easy operation. With its increased payload capacity, the Pro version can reliably carry telescope optical tubes weighing up to 5 kg, tracking the apparent motion of the sky and automatically locating astronomical objects selected from the Acuter Sky App database.
With a combined weight of just 3.9 kg, the tripod and mount head form a setup that can easily be carried in a backpack. The mount is designed for short-tube telescopes equipped with a Vixen-style dovetail bar and can even carry a 127/1500 MC optical tube.
The supplied Acuter Traverse Pro azimuthal GoTo mount can be controlled from a smartphone or tablet via cable, Wi-Fi, or a Bluetooth connection. After a brief alignment procedure, the free Acuter Sky app allows you to easily select any of more than 11,000 objects, which the mount will automatically locate and track.
Power can be supplied by 8 AA batteries placed in the battery compartment built into the mount head, or from an external 12 V power source, such as a gel battery or mains adapter.
The SNAP port on the mount head also supports exposure control for DSLR cameras, based on the settings entered in the app.
The included T10 tripod attaches to the mount head with a 3/8" thread. Maximum height to the top of the mount head: 134 cm (tripod legs fully extended). Minimum height to the top of the mount head: 87 cm (tripod legs retracted)
