The Acuter Elite Phoenix 80/400 H-alpha Solar Telescope arrives with an unprecedented concept. Equipped with the traditional 80/400 optics, this telescope is a true 3-in-1 instrument, excelling as a solar telescope, an astronomical telescope, and a nature observation telescope.
Observing prominences on the Sun's surface is impossible with traditional refractors, but the Acuter Elite Phoenix comes with all the necessary accessories to be used as a fully functional 40 mm diameter H-alpha solar telescope.
The Fabry-Perot etalon unit, attachable to the telescope's dew shield, has a 40 mm diameter and allows usage as a solar telescope with a narrow 0.6 angstrom bandwidth. The special diagonal mirror's blocking filter is 8 mm in diameter (B800), compared to the 4-6 mm diameter models of similar price range from well-known brands. This makes it excellent for photographic use as a solar telescope.
By optionally using a foil filter instead of the removable front filter and replacing the diagonal mirror with a traditional one, the Sun can also be observed in white light. A sun finder accessory aids in locating our central star.
If neither a front filter nor solar foil is used, during daytime nature observation, the included 5-16 mm Zoom eyepiece provides a wide magnification range (25-80x), offering an experience similar to that of a spotting scope.
With the Acuter Elite Phoenix, you can also delve into the hidden world of deep-sky objects under dark, rural skies. Faint galaxies, globular clusters, open clusters, and nebulae are accessible with low to medium magnifications. Nighttime use is facilitated by the use of a starpointer. Any 1.25" standard eyepiece can be optionally attached to the telescope.
