Acuter Elite Phoenix 80/400 H-alpha solar telescope

The Acuter Elite Phoenix 80/400 H-alpha solar telescope comes with an unprecedented concept. Equipped with conventional 80/400 optics, the telescope is a true 3-in-1 instrument, as it can be used as a solar telescope, astronomical telescope and nature observatory.

With conventional refractors, it is impossible to observe protrusions on the Sun's surface, but the Acuter Elite Phoenix has all the necessary accessories to be used as a full-featured H-alpha solar telescope.

The Fabry-Periot etalon unit, which attaches to the telescope's dew cap, is 4 cm with a narrow 0.6 angstrom aperture. The special zenith mirror block filter is 8 mm in diameter (B800), compared to similarly priced 4-6 mm models from other well-known brands. This makes it ideal for use as a solar binocular and for photographic applications.

By using a foil filter instead of a removable front filter (optional) and replacing the zenith mirror with a conventional one, the Sun can be viewed in white light. Finding our central star is aided by an accessory sun finder.

With neither a front filter nor a sunshade, daytime nature observation with the included 5-16mm zoom eyepiece can provide a spectral experience comparable to the wide magnification range (25-80x) of the included 5-16mm zoom eyepiece.

With the Acuter Elite Phoenix, you can also get a glimpse of the hidden world of deep-sky objects in dark, rural skies. Faint galaxies, globular clusters, clusters of arrows and nebulae can be reached at low to medium magnifications. Use a starpointer to make night time viewing easier. Optionally, the telescope can be fitted with any 1.25" standard eyepiece.
