If you have used a telescope before, you have probably wanted to capture what you saw so you could share it with family and friends. The smart telescope automatically locates the selected object, focuses the image, and starts taking photos straight away. It is controlled via a smartphone or tablet app over a Wi-Fi connection (2.4 and 5 GHz), so no complicated cabling is required.
The device features a premium four-element apochromatic objective with a 30 mm aperture and 160 mm focal length, delivering excellent image quality. Compared to the previous version, the Sony IMX585 sensor offers a four times larger field of view at a resolution of 2160 × 3840 pixels. The built-in dual-band narrowband filter can improve the contrast of certain deep-sky objects even under light-polluted skies. To enhance noise reduction efficiency, the telescope also supports automatic dark-frame capture.
Like the other members of the Seestar family, the S30 Pro also supports equatorial mode, enabling more accurate tracking and longer, more effective exposures.
Ultra-wide-angle camera for astro-landscapes
The telescope also features a second camera and a dedicated wide-angle lens for capturing spectacular astro-landscapes. Equipped with a Sony IMX586 sensor, the secondary camera provides a 63° field of view, allowing detailed Milky Way images to be captured. The smart telescope's software uses artificial intelligence to help users achieve better results. The apochromatic optics are also well suited for daytime use, such as sightseeing or nature observation.
Weighing just 1.65 kg, the telescope is easy to take with you wherever you go. On a full charge, it can operate for up to 6 hours, which is sufficient for most observing sessions. Captured images are saved to the built-in 128 GB storage.
In addition to the telescope, the ZWO Seestar S30 Pro standard package includes an ultra-light yet stable aluminium tabletop tripod, a magnetically mounted solar filter film in a cell, a USB-C cable, and a practical padded protective case for easier transport of the equipment.
