The ZWO EFW motorized filter wheel features 5×2" filter slots, allowing filters to be changed remotely via a computer, ZWO ASIAir, or ToupTek Stellavita. An excellent match even for cameras with full-frame sensors.
The filter wheel has T2 threads on both sides, ensuring a simple and secure connection between the telescope and camera. In addition, the manufacturer offers a screw-on mounting option for its cooled cameras, allowing the filter wheel to be positioned closer to the sensor to help minimize vignetting. The unit connects to a computer via USB 2.0 and, after installing the ASCOM driver, can be easily controlled with any compatible software.
The ZWO EFW motorized filter wheel is housed in a high-quality aluminum body, measuring just 20 mm in width and weighing 540 grams. Thanks to its slim design, it can be positioned remarkably close to the camera sensor, eliminating concerns about vignetting even with fast telescopes.
The updated filter wheel features a USB-C connector and additional shielding against stray light.
