The ZWO EFW Motorized Filter Wheel with 5×2" Slots allows for motorized filter changes via a computer or with the help of ZWO ASIAir and ToupTek Stellavita. It's an excellent match for cameras with full-frame sensors.
The filter wheel features T2 threads on both sides, ensuring a simple and stable connection between the telescope and the camera. Additionally, it offers a screw-in attachment option for the manufacturer's cooled cameras, allowing the filter wheel to be positioned closer to the sensor, which helps minimize vignetting. The device connects to a computer via a USB 2.0 port and can be easily controlled with any compatible software after installing the ASCOM driver.
The ZWO EFW Motorized Filter Wheel is housed in a high-quality aluminum frame, with a width of just 20 mm and a weight of 540 grams. Its slim design allows it to be placed surprisingly close to the camera sensor, eliminating concerns about vignetting even with fast telescopes.
The updated filter wheel features a USB-C connector and has received additional "sealing" against stray light.
