The ZWO CAA motorized camera rotator is a tool to help automate astrophotography. It allows you to plan the composition of the image with perfect precision by rotating the camera and its sensor.
You can adjust the amount of image rotation assigned to different shooting sequences, so there's no need to manually adjust the composition of the image for a new subject, or worry about focus shifting.
The ZWO CAA motorized camera rotator is an ASCOM compatible device, so it can be operated from a laptop with the appropriate software, but it also works perfectly with the ASIAir controller and can even be moved with an optional (EAF) handheld controller.
The ZWO CAA adjusts the camera angle with an accuracy of 0.02° per step. The angular error is less than 0.1°. The rotator can rotate the camera at up to 7.5° per second, minimizing waiting time. Both sides have M54 threads, and the package includes an M54/M48 adapter to tighten the connection to the camera if necessary.
The ZWO CAA motorized camera rotator uses a 16.5 mm light path. The device is controlled via a USB-C cable, and also receives the appropriate (5V) power supply via this cable. 465 g weight does not significantly affect the overall weight of the assembly.
