The ZWO ASI 183 MM-PRO cooled cameras are optimized for high-quality planetary imaging and deep-sky photography. The 20.18 megapixel 5496x3672 pixel sensor and 12-bit output from SONY, with its powerful 20.18 megapixel sensor and particularly high frame rate (19 frames per second), first catches the eye. The pixel size of 2.4 microns makes it optimal for short-focus, high brightness instruments. Its extremely high light utilisation of 87% is due to its back-illuminated sensor. With appropriate software, it can also be used as a driving camera.
The large sensor is also useful for shooting the Sun and Moon. Built-in ST-4 autoguider port also makes these devices useful as a driving camera.
The ZWO ASI 183 MM-PRO cooled cameras feature a high-performance Peltier cooler that reduces sensor temperatures by up to 45°C- compared to ambient temperatures, allowing you to capture fine details of even deep-sky objects. The camera has a T2 thread, but can be inserted into any 1.25" or 2" mount using the adapters included in the package. The camera has a 256 mb DDR memory buffer, which increases the reliability of data transfer between computers and reduces amp-glow, especially during USB 2.0 data connections.
The ZWO ASI 183 MM-PRO cooled camera has 2 USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports. For image capture, a number of free software can be downloaded from the Internet, we particularly recommend SharpCap and FireCapture.
The camera is cooled by a 12V supply voltage, for which the manufacturer recommends a minimum of 3A.
