The Universal Tripod Adapter provides compatibility between certain mount heads, equatorial wedges, and tripods.
It allows photo heads and ball heads with 1/4" or 3/8" tripod threads, mount heads compatible with Star Adventurer tripod legs and featuring 3/8" tripod threads, as well as mount heads such as the EQ-1 and EQ-2 with metric threads to be attached.
One possible application is fitting the Universal Tripod Adapter to EQ-3-5, HEQ-5, or AZ-4 tripod legs, allowing photo heads, ball heads, or smaller mount heads to be secured via its countersunk holes. The adapter also provides clearance for the locating pin commonly found on tripods.

It features three threaded holes (3/8", 1/4", and M10) and three countersunk holes (M6, M8, M10, 1/4", and 3/8"). Made of aluminium, it is 2 cm high and weighs approximately 1 kg.
