The ToupTek T-Forty carbon tripod is a professional carbon fiber tripod offering outstanding load capacity, high rigidity, and a compact form factor. These features make it an ideal choice for mobile astrophotographers.
The rigid carbon composite legs are made from 12-layer tubes with a 1.2 mm wall thickness, measuring 39 mm in diameter at the top and 34 mm at the bottom. This design significantly reduces flex and unwanted vibrations, which is especially important for astrophotography. The manufacturer specifies a maximum load capacity of 50 kg.
The ToupTek T-Forty carbon tripod features a combined M6 and 3/8" mounting solution, making it compatible with mounts from a range of manufacturers. It is particularly well suited to popular harmonic drive mounts such as the ZWO AM3, AM5, and AM7 series, as well as the SkyWatcher Wave100i and Wave150i models.
Outdoor stability is further enhanced by a weight bag that can be attached to the tripod and steel spikes that can be screwed into the legs.
