The ToupTek Motorized Filter Wheel for 7 × 36" Filters significantly contributes to the quick, easy, and efficient switching of filters in the telescope's light path. The computer-controlled motorized filter wheel is primarily designed to facilitate astrophotography, but it also aids visual observers by allowing the use of narrowband or light pollution reduction filters.
With the included USB 2.0 cable, it can be easily connected to a computer or even the ToupTek StellaVita controller. It is compatible with many third-party software through the ASCOM driver. The 7 slots for 36mm filters are more than sufficient for creating effective composite images by combining L-RGB monochrome shots with narrowband filters (H-alpha, OIII, H-beta). The robust filter housing uses only 20mm of the light path.
The ToupTek motorized filter wheel housing features M54 internal threading on both sides, which can be easily adapted to devices with M42 or M48 threading using the included adapters. Additionally, it provides screw mounting options for cooled cameras. With the use of adapters, a precise 55mm sensor distance is achieved for cameras with a 17.5mm back focus.
