The ToupTek motorized filter wheel for 5 × 2" filters significantly contributes to the quick, easy, and efficient switching of filters in the optical path of a telescope. The computer-controlled motorized filter wheel is primarily designed to facilitate astrophotography, but it also assists visual observers, for example, when using narrowband or light pollution reduction filters.
With the included USB 2.0 cable, it can be easily connected to a computer or even to the ToupTek StellaVita controller. Using the ASCOM driver, it can be integrated with many third-party software solutions. 8 filter slots are more than sufficient to create effective composite images by combining L-RGB monochrome exposures with, for example, narrowband filters (H-alpha, OIII, H-beta). The robust filter housing uses only 20 mm of optical path.
The housing of the ToupTek motorized filter wheel features M54 internal threads on both sides, which can be easily adapted to devices with M42 or M48 threads using the adapters included in the basic package. Additionally, it provides a screw-type mounting option for cooled cameras. When using the adapters, a sensor distance of exactly 55 mm is achieved with cameras that have a 17.5 mm back focus.

Attention! Only filters with a maximum slot width of 5 mm can be used in the filter wheel! (This value does not include the thread length.) Of the filters distributed, only the Baader filter holder is wider than this; filters from other manufacturers can be used without issues.
