The ToupTek motorized filter changer for 5×2" filters is a great way to quickly, easily and efficiently change filters in the light path of your telescope. The computer-controlled motorized filter changer is designed primarily to facilitate astrophotography, but also to facilitate the activities of visual observers, for example by using narrow-band or light-pollution-reducing filters.
The included USB 2.0 cable makes it easy to connect to a computer or even the ToupTek StellaVita controller. It can also be coordinated with many third-party software using the ASCOM driver. 8 filter slots, already plenty enough to create effective composite images from L-RGB monochrome images, for example when combined with narrowband filters (H-alpha, OIII, H-beta). The robust filter housing uses only 20 mm of light path.
The filter housing has M54 internal threads on both sides, which can be easily fitted to M42 or M48 threaded devices using the adapters included in the basic package. In addition, it also provides screw mounting options with cooled cameras. Using the adapters gives a sensor distance of exactly 55mm for cameras with a 17.5mm backfocus.
Attention! Filters with a max. 5 mm wide socket can be used in the filter changer (the value does not include the length of the thread!) Of the filters we sell, only the Baader filter is 6 mm thick, so filters from other manufacturers can be used without any problems.
