The ToupTek Motorized Filter Wheel for 7 × 2" Filters significantly contributes to the quick, easy, and efficient switching of filters in the telescope's light path. The computer-controlled motorized filter wheel is primarily designed to facilitate astrophotography but also aids visual observers, for example, by using narrowband or light pollution reduction filters.
With the included USB 2.0 cable, it can be easily connected to a computer or even the ToupTek StellaVita controller. The ASCOM driver allows compatibility with many third-party software. 7 filter slots are more than sufficient to create effective composite images by combining L-RGB monochrome shots with narrowband filters (H-alpha, OIII, H-beta). The robust filter housing uses only 20 mm of the light path.
The ToupTek motorized filter wheel housing features M54 internal threads on both sides, which can be easily adapted to devices with M42 or M48 threads using the adapters included in the basic package. Additionally, it provides a screw-in mounting option for cooled cameras. Using the adapters, you achieve an exact 55 mm sensor distance for cameras with a 17.5 mm back focus.

Attention! Only filters with a maximum holder width of 5 mm can be used in the filter wheel! (This value is without the thread length!) Among the filters we distribute, only the Baader filter holder is wider than this, while filters from other manufacturers can be used without issues.
