The ToupCam EP 8.3-megapixel microscope camera is a compact colour camera compatible with most standard microscopes: simply insert it in place of the eyepiece. Its 3840 × 2160-pixel resolution allows exceptionally fine details to be captured.
Replacing previous models, the ToupCam EP 8.3-megapixel microscope camera features a new SONY sensor with more efficient data compression and a faster frame rate of 30 fps (frames per second), providing smoother video playback and live viewing.
The camera's ToupView software is highly sophisticated and offers numerous features, including measurement functions which, after calibration, can be used to determine the dimensions of objects under the microscope.
As the microscope camera fits into a 23.2 mm eyepiece tube, please check whether your microscope has an eyepiece tube of this size. A microscope with a photo port is not necessarily required, but 30.5 mm or 30 mm adapters may be needed for proper fitting.
