Stereo microscopes are popular thanks to their versatility and ease of use. Due to its boom stand design, our SZM-650T microscope is primarily recommended for industrial applications.
The SZM-650T microscope is equipped with a 0.7x–4.5x zoom objective, providing continuously adjustable magnification from 7x to 45x when used with the supplied WF10x eyepieces. The eyepieces offer an exceptionally wide field of view: at 7x magnification, the field of view is 28.6 mm. Thanks to its complex optical design, it delivers a high-contrast, razor-sharp image right to the edge of the field of view. The microscope head can be raised and lowered along the column to a maximum height of 380 mm, and can also be swung out sideways to a distance of up to 420 mm as required, allowing objects of virtually any size to be placed beneath it. The working distance below the objectives is 100 mm, which can be increased to 165 mm with the optional 0.5x reduction lens.
The trinocular viewing head is angled at 45°, with an interpupillary distance freely adjustable between 55 and 75 mm. Dioptre adjustment is provided on both sides. Fitting the supplied rubber eyecups to the top of the eyepieces blocks stray light from the sides, making the microscope more comfortable to use. The viewing head features a 23.2 mm camera port and a lever for selecting whether light is directed to the camera and one eyepiece, or to both eyepieces. (In the latter case, the camera cannot be used.)
The microscope head can not only be raised and lowered but also tilted, providing greater freedom of movement than the SZM-600A microscope.
The microscope does not include illumination, so the use of external lighting is particularly recommended. The basic package also includes a durable dust cover to protect the microscope when not in use.
