The SWN50D solar filter in a solar viewfinder mount makes it safe to observe the sun. It is forbidden to observe the sun without a sunshade as it will cause permanent eye damage!
The solar filter can be mounted on an external diameter of 67 mm, like the Acuter 50 mm Newtonian telescope. The plastic mount also has a solar viewfinder.
