The Svbony SV405CC colour cooled camera features the same SONY sensor as the ZWO ASI 294 MC Pro colour cooled camera, but at a much lower price with the image quality of the top-quality back-illuminated SONY CMOS sensor.
In contrast to mono cameras, colour, so-called "single shot" cameras simplify the work of those who do not want to shoot with L-RGB colour filtering, as colour shots are a fraction of the work and time required for mono (faux-colour) shots.
The IMX294, 23.2mm diagonal 11.7 megapixel sensor from SONY is made of 4.63 micron pixels. With its impressive sensitivity (QE>75%), the larger pixel size promises outstanding performance in deep-end photography

The Svbony SV405CC color-cooled camera features a two-step adjustable, high-performance Peltier cooler that can keep the sensor 30° below the outside temperature. The noise-reducing effect of the cooling also helps capture fine details of galaxies.
Built-in 256 DDRIII memory improves data transfer security and reduces the sensor's so-called "amp-glow" glare. The camera's USB 3.0 connector enables much higher image transfer speeds than the USB 2.0 standard. This allows more shots to be captured in a given amount of time at a larger image size. A higher FPS (frames per second) is achieved by using ROI, which is particularly useful for shooting the Sun, Moon and planets.
The camera is easy to use under Windows operating systems, but also supports Linux, Macintosh, etc. For image capture, there is a range of free software available for download from the internet, but for Windows we recommend SharpCap and FireCapture.
The camera is cooled by a 12V supply, with a minimum of 5A recommended by the manufacturer, as marked on the back of the camera at the connection.
