In contrast to zenith mirrors, the Svbony SV221 1.25" 45° Amici prism provides a straight and side-on image, making it an ideal choice for daytime nature observation. Its 45° viewing angle makes it more comfortable to use an Amici prism than a Zenith prism when viewing objects close to the horizon.
For astronomical observation, the use of a Zenith mirror is preferable because the latter is more light-harvesting than the prisms, but the Moon and the brighter planets reflect enough light to be enjoyable to view with Amici prisms.
A particularly sympathetic feature of the Svbony SV221 1.25" 45° Amici prism is that it has three screws and a copper clamping ring to hold the eyepiece.
