The Svbony CLS filter (2") is an almost indispensable tool for urban perception. It is an effective light pollution reduction filter that can be used both visually and photographically.
The CLS filter works in a similar way to the UHC filter, but has a higher passband than the UHC. It blocks to a certain extent the harmful effects of light pollution, making the sky appear darker and significantly improving the visibility of nebulae (e.g. the Veil Nebula, the Orion Nebula) by transmitting the radiation they emit.
Unfortunately, no filter can completely replace a sky free of rural light pollution, but with CLS filters you will get a much more contrasty, visual experience. Emissive and planetary nebulae and supernova remnants show details that would not be visible without a filter, or only from a very dark sky, but they do not dim the light from galaxies as much as a UHC filter.
Don't be fooled by the low price, as Svbony's CLS filter is made from high-quality materials and is precision engineered.
The product is protected from damage and dirt by a sponge-lined filter box.
