The SkyWatcher Fusion 120i azimuth goto mechanic is a real niche product, as no other azimuth mechanic with such a high power handling capacity, yet compact and affordable price has been available from the manufacturer before.
The Fusion 120i mechanics head weighs 8 kg, the steel foot 5.8 kg, so it's still easy to assemble and move. Its dimensions are also very compact: width 214 mm, depth 335 mm and height 467 mm. It can accommodate both Vixen and Losmandy mounted telescope tubes. The mechanism has a payload capacity of 12 kg, making it ideal for use with short-bodied, larger catadioptric (e.g.:MC, SC) telescopes (SkyWatcher MC 180/2700 tubes will not fit for close-up observation of zeniths)

Although the mechanism is of azimuthal design, it can also be operated in equatorial mode using an optionally available equatorial wedge. Releasable clutches along both axes assist in rough object positioning, and DC motors are used for fine adjustment. Precision gear ratios are ensured by 180 tooth worm gears. A 3/8"-threaded screw attaches the steel tripod to the mechanics head. The height of the leg is 854 mm and the spread is 924 mm, which can be further increased by its telescopic design.
The SkyWatcher Fusion 120i azimuth goto mechanic can be moved with the accessory hand control or used via the built-in WiFi, which is supported by the free downloadable SynScan Pro APP and SynScan APP for Android or IOS.
The Fusion mechanics can be powered either by the built-in lithium ion battery or by the accessory AC power supply. The mechanics head has a DC socket for charging or power, a hand controller connector (RJ12), the ST4 autoguider port, and a USB port for updating frimware, an on/off button, and an operation LED all in one block.
