The Scopium Polarizing Filter Pair is an effective solution for reducing the brightness of the Moon. By rotating the two members on top of each other, you can conveniently vary the amount of light transmission according to the current lunar phase and magnification.
The Scopium polarising filter pair's light transmission can be adjusted between 1% and 40% with a clever ring arrangement - so there's no risk of the two filters falling apart in the dark. (Cheaper models rotate on their threads, which has the potential to fall apart in use.) Thanks to its high quality and anti-reflective coating, no degradation in image quality is noticeable at high magnifications. Fits in 1.25" focusers.
