The Omegon Pro 154/1848 Classic Cassegrain telescope optical tube is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a high-performance yet extremely portable and affordably priced telescope.
Its long 1848 mm focal length makes it ideal for medium to high magnifications, allowing the use of comfortable long-eye-relief eyepieces. It is an excellent choice not only for visual observation but also for astrophotography of planets, the Moon, the Sun and compact deep-sky objects. However, due to its f/12 focal ratio, it is best paired with more sensitive astronomical cameras. As the optical system contains mirrors only, it cannot produce chromatic aberration. Its moderate 33% central obstruction promises high-contrast views, further enhanced by the carefully designed internal baffles.

Its primary mirror is made of quartz, which, thanks to its extremely low thermal expansion—even lower than that of Pyrex glass—rapidly adapts to the ambient temperature. The telescope features a 2" dual-speed Crayford focuser for precise, smooth focusing. The maximum achievable field of view is 1.5 degrees, equivalent to approximately three full Moons. No accessories are included with the telescope.
