The Olight Warrior X 4 Hunting Lantern is an easy-to-use, practical and durable tactical lantern. Compared to the Warrior X 3, it is a step up from its smaller sibling with more power, more economical operation, expanded features and a combined charging mode.
With the rear battery cover cap screwed on, you can switch between general and tactical modes when switched on. In the former mode, you can choose between a strong and a weaker but longer-lasting setting, while in tactical mode, you can select a strobe function as the second mode. The 13 Hz 2600 lumen flickering light can be used to thwart an attack on you.
When faced with a choice of lamps with similar power sources and similar advanced technology, we find that manufacturers are either developing lamps with greater diffusing power to illuminate a wider area, or are focusing more on the "distance lighting" capabilities of the lamp with a narrower beam. The Olight Warrior X 4 hunting lantern represents a strong middle ground in e-space, with a maximum output of 2600 lumens that can illuminate a larger area up to 630 meters.
The Olight Warrior X 4 hunting flashlight (6700 K) has a cool white light that illuminates much further than its warmer-light counterparts. With its well thought-out modes, it covers the needs of high brightness use as well as long-lasting balanced light use and strobe use for protection.
In the first mode, it operates at 2600 lm for 3 minutes, then down to 1000 lm for a further 140 minutes, then 300 lm for 20 minutes. In the second mode, it can light up to 300 lumens for up to 8 hours continuously. In tactical mode, it operates at 1000 lm for 150 minutes, then at 300 lm for a further 20 minutes. In strobe mode it can operate at 13 Hz at 2600 lm for 330 minutes.
The lamp is powered by a single special 5000 mAh 21700 lithium battery included in the kit. Charging within the device can be accomplished via the included USB-C connector, or optionally via the MCC-3 magnetic charging platform. A full discharge requires 3.5 hours of charging via the USB-C cable and 5.5 hours via the MCC-3 charging platform. Red, yellow and green status LEDs indicate the charge level of the lamp.
Olight lights can be used tactically and can withstand being crushed against a car windshield without damage. This capability can even be a lifesaver in emergency situations. Not heavy (249 g) or too big (149.5 mm x 39.5 mm x 26.2 mm), you will regret not carrying it with you.
The Olight Warrior X 3 hunting flashlight's IPX8 protection ensures serious water resistance, so there's no need to worry if you need to use your flashlight in the rain.
In addition to the flashlight and charging cable, the package also includes a sturdy plastic case that clips onto a belt.
