It is turned on using the switch located at the end of the flashlight body, and as with its predecessor, the focal ratio levels can be changed using the function switch located on the side of the flashlight head. LED lights on the side switch indicate the battery charge levels: green > 75% charge, orange = 30-75% charge, red < 30% charge, red flashing < 10% charge.

The Olight Javelot Turbo 2 hunting flashlight can provide survival light for up to 11 days on a fully charged battery.
- Turbo Mode: 1800 lm: 4.5 minutes, then 792 lm: 130 minutes, followed by 594 lm: 120 minutes
- High Mode: 600 lm: 360 minutes, then 150 lm: 30 minutes
- Medium Mode: 150 lm: 30 hours
- Low Mode: 15 lm: 272 hours
The Olight Javelot Turbo 2 rechargeable hunting flashlight body is made from anodized aerospace aluminum, and according to the manufacturer's data, it can withstand a drop from one meter. Thanks to its IP67 protection, it is dust and water-resistant.
