It can be switched on and off by a switch at the end of the body and, as with its predecessor, the brightness levels can be changed by a function switch on the side of the head. On the side switch, LED lights indicate the battery charge levels: green = 75% charge, orange = 30-75% charge, red = 30% charge, red flashing 10% charge.
Four modes of operation are available, in turbo mode the lamp can light up for 5 minutes at 2500 lumens, and then run for a further 180 minutes at a still very powerful 1000 lumens, at the end of which it can run for 27 minutes at 600 lumens. The Olight Javelot Pro 2 hunting flashlight is the second most powerful, operating at 600 lumens for 420 minutes and then at 150 lumens for a further 42 minutes. In medium mode at 150 lumens, it can light up for 32 hours and 30 minutes, while in economy mode at 15 lumens, it will last for 12 days.
