The Olight H17R rechargeable headlamp features a new-generation CREE XP-G2 LED light source with a maximum output of 550 lumens.
Thanks to its dual-LED design, you do not have to sacrifice floodlight coverage for a spot beam, as the two LEDs meet both common requirements at the same time. The headlamp brightness can be adjusted in three levels. On the highest setting, it illuminates up to 100 m, while the lowest setting provides a typical "survival light" mode for up to 30 hours; on the highest setting, it operates for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The lamp head can be tilted in three positions up to 45°.
The built-in LiPo battery (2000 mAh, 3.7 V) can be charged using the included USB charging cable. Its charge level is indicated by an LED display, and it also provides an audible warning when the battery level drops below 10%. Since the battery is positioned at the rear of the headband, the lamp has excellent weight distribution. Its IPX4 rating protects it against splashing water, and it can withstand a drop from 1 metre onto soft ground without damage—although it is best not to throw it around.
