The Nocpix Lumi L35R rangefinder thermal camera represents the upper mid-range within the company's Lumi series. It is an excellent choice due to its increased magnification and stronger light-gathering capability of the lens. Another unique feature is its built-in 800-meter range laser rangefinder, which determines the target distance with an accuracy of +/- 1 meter.
The device's optics with an F0.9 focal ratio collect 20% more light than the widely used F1.0 systems (which are also considered very bright) in thermal cameras. The fixed-focus lens has a default 4x magnification, which can be digitally increased to 16x. For human shape detection, the sensitive 18 mk thermal sensor allows detection up to a distance of 1800 meters. This model also features a manual focus adjustment ring on the optics.
The 384 x 288 sensor's elementary pixels are only 12 µ in size, allowing even finer details to be visible. The view captured by the device can be observed on a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, cold-resistant AMOLED display. The advanced artificial intelligence (AI) used in the device enhances the image, providing a more contrast-rich and detailed view.
It is ideal for open terrain in hunting applications. In security, it is suitable for securing larger industrial complexes. It can also be effectively used for rescue and research purposes.
Among the rich settings options, various color modes, quick detection hot spot highlights, or eye-friendly green and red modes are available. The PIP mode (picture-in-picture) allows viewing a smaller magnified image while not missing out on the surrounding view. The thermal camera can be controlled via WiFi, and our recordings can be viewed or saved. Not only can still images be recorded, but also videos (with sound, thanks to the built-in microphone). Besides our phone, images can also be saved to the internal 32Gb memory.
The compact and lightweight device housing provides a secure grip. The device uses a replaceable 18650 battery for power, but it can also be used with an external power source, such as a power bank, via a USB-C cable. The thermal camera can operate for 4.5 hours on its own battery.
On the eyepiece side, diopter correction in the range of -5 to +5 allows adjusting the focus to our own eyes.
