The Nocpix Lumi H35R rangefinder thermal camera holds a special place within the Nocpix Lumi family. It can be said to have a "podium position". There are hardly any affordable models with an 18 mk sensitivity and 640 x 512 pixel resolution thermal sensor available on the entire thermal camera market! Another unique feature is its built-in 800-meter range laser rangefinder, which determines the target distance with an accuracy of +/- 1 meter.
The device's optics with a F0.9 focal ratio collect nearly 20% more light than the widely used F1.0 (which is also considered very bright) thermal camera systems on the market. The fixed-focus lens has a default magnification of 2.5x, which can be digitally increased up to 20x, though at such magnification, using a tripod is recommended. For detecting human figures, the sensitive 18 mk thermal sensor allows detection up to a distance of 1800 meters. This model also features a manual focus adjustment ring on the optics.
The 640 x 512 sensor's elementary pixels are only 12 µ in size, allowing even the smallest details to be more visible. The view captured by the device can be observed on a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, cold-resistant AMOLED display. The advanced artificial intelligence (AI) used in the device enhances the image, providing a more contrast-rich and detailed view.
For hunting applications, it is recommended for open terrain, suitable for both small and large game. It is also suitable for property protection purposes, such as remote surveillance, and for supporting rescue and search operations.
Among the rich settings options, various color modes, hot spot highlights for quick detection, or eye-friendly green and red modes are available. The PIP mode (picture-in-picture) allows viewing a smaller magnified image while not missing out on the surrounding view. The thermal camera can be controlled via WiFi, and we can view or save our recordings. Not only can still images be captured, but also videos (with sound, thanks to the built-in microphone). Besides our phone, images can also be saved to the internal 32Gb memory.
The compact and lightweight housing provides a secure grip. The device uses a replaceable 18650 battery for power supply, but it can also be used with an external power source via a USB-C cable, such as a power bank. The thermal camera can operate for 4.5 hours on its own battery.
On the eyepiece side, we can adjust the focus to our own eyes with a -5 to +5 range diopter correction.
