For low-magnification scanning of the Milky Way and observation of deep sky objects, we recommend the 2" Lacerta SWA-70 eyepieces. With the extremely wide field of view of 70 degrees, they show a whole new face to large visible star clusters and nebulae.
In addition to the huge field of view, these eyepieces also have the advantage of a long viewing distance, so you can see the entire field of view even with glasses on and observe for longer periods without eye fatigue.
To maximise light transmission and contrast, all optical surfaces of the 5 lens elements in the eyepieces are fully multicoated to provide multiple anti-reflective coatings. This gives up to half a magnitude better marginal luminance than with similarly focused but cheaper eyepieces.
The Lacerta SWA-70 eyepieces can of course also be fitted with 2" deep sky filters, so you can see very faint nebulae.
