Lacerta 15 cm dew heater strip is 4 cm wide and compatible with optical tubes with a circumference of 12–22 cm. Particularly recommended for heating 1.25" eyepieces and the objectives of guide scopes with a diameter of 30–40 mm. Requires 12 V and draws 0.33 A.
Anyone who has observed in the cold autumn and winter months knows how much of a problem dew formation can be. A dew shield provides some protection, but this is the real solution. Dew heaters are small heating pads or heating elements that keep optics warm. They can be secured around the eyepiece or optical tube using Velcro straps. Especially recommended for Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes, where the corrector plate is particularly prone to dew formation, but also useful for owners of refractor telescopes. Dew heaters require a 12 V power supply.
