KOWA products represent the premium category in the world of binoculars. Accordingly, the new XD series is optimized for those who want a premium instrument for everyday use.
The Kowa Genesis XD 8x33 stands out from the field with its high-quality optics, ultra-lightweight yet rugged construction, extremely small close focus (1.5 meters) and 20% larger field of view than previous models. Its interior is filled with nitrogen gas to withstand rain, snow and atmospheric humidity.
New solutions for high image quality
A number of factors are "responsible" for premium imaging in the Kowa Genesis XD 8x33 binoculars. The manufacturer's proprietary Prominar XD lens elementscater for extreme reduction of chromatic aberration and ensure very high image contrast across the entire field of view.
A light recovery of 99% or above is guaranteed by the C3 coating applied to the telescope's roof prisms. Thanks to this coating, the binoculars produce a brighter and sharper image than its competitors, and even ensure accurate colour reproduction. The same purpose is served by the multi-layer optical coatings applied to all lenses and all glass.
Also thanks to optical advances, the telescope has a uniquely small close-up focus of just 1.5 metres - you can observe even such close objects at 8x magnification, "macro". Also ideal for close observation of plants and insects.
Compact, robust, waterproof
The Kowa Genesis XD 8x33 binoculars are made of a special magnesium alloy, which is why they are lightweight but robust and impact-resistant. Its interior is filled with nitrogen gas, which prevents moisture from entering the instrument even in the most extreme conditions (heavy rain, snow, fog). However, the telescope is not suitable for underwater use.
