New solutions for high image quality

A number of factors are "responsible" for the particularly good imaging in the Kowa BD II 10x42 XD binoculars. The manufacturer's proprietary XD lens elements ensure extreme reduction of chromatic aberration and very high image contrast across the entire field of view.

Excellent light recovery is guaranteed by the multi-layer optical coatings applied to all lenses and all glass elements. The C3 coating on the roof prisms further enhances the colour fidelity of the telescope's image.

Also thanks to optical improvements is the telescope's uniquely small, at just 1.5 metres close-up focus - you can observe even objects this close, at 10x magnification, in "macro" style. Also ideal for close-up observation of plants and insects.

Compact, robust, waterproof

The Kowa BD II 10x42 XD Binoculars are made from a special magnesium alloy. It is therefore lightweight but robust and impact resistant. Its weight is close to that of a 32 mm general scope, but it brings the performance of the best 42 mm diameter scopes in all conditions. Its interior is filled with nitrogen gas, which prevents moisture from entering the instrument even in the most extreme conditions (heavy rain, snow, fog).
