The Hikmicro Alpex LRF 4K A50EL night vision riflescope with laser rangefinder combines the familiar shape of a conventional riflescope with a clear, icon-based menu system, reliably replacing—and surpassing—the capabilities of traditional optics in every respect.
At the heart of the device is a highly sensitive 3840 x 2160 4K resolution sensor that delivers a colour image during the day, remaining highly usable even in twilight conditions. In night mode, it provides a black-and-white image in complete darkness, effectively supported by its infrared illuminator. The image can be viewed on the device's 1920 x 1080-pixel OLED display or on a smartphone via the mobile app and built-in WiFi connection. When looking through the riflescope, the corners of the image are rounded, simulating the field of view of conventional riflescopes.
With its 64 GB of internal memory, the night vision device can store several hours of video with audio recording as well as photographs. Its many useful features include a wide selection of reticles that can be individually configured and saved, picture-in-picture mode, "one-shot zeroing", and recoil-activated recording, which captures 7, 10 or 15 seconds before and after the shot.
The Hikmicro Alpex LRF 4K A50EL night vision riflescope is compatible with 30 mm mounts. The device features IP67 protection against dust and water, making it safe to use even in harsh weather conditions and in temperatures ranging from -30 to +55°C, according to the manufacturer.
The focus ring is located on the front of the night vision device, while dioptre adjustment is, as usual, on the eyepiece side. In addition, there are only three push buttons and one combined rotary control to learn. The latter is used to access and navigate the logically structured menu, as well as to adjust the digital zoom (1 - 2 - 4 - 8x).
The Hikmicro Alpex LRF 4K A50EL night vision riflescope also features an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of 1,000 metres, effectively supporting the device's ballistic calculator.
The night vision riflescope is powered by both an integrated lithium-ion battery and an external, replaceable 18650 battery, providing up to 11 hours of operating time on a single charge.
