Polarising filters are the best way to reduce the brightness of the Moon. By rotating the two elements relative to each other, the amount of light transmission can be varied according to the current lunar phase and magnification.

The Explorer Scientific polarizing filter pair can be adjusted between 1% and 40% light transmission with an ingenious ring solution - eliminating the risk of the two filters falling apart in the dark. Made from high quality glass, there is no degradation in image quality at high magnifications.

The pair of filters are aluminium-framed, making them even more durable and less fragile than their plastic counterparts.
