The new Eyegros is the ideal tool for finding your way around the sky with the naked eye, binoculars, small or large amateur astronomical binoculars, as not only are stars distinguished by their brightness, but the brightness range of deep-sky objects is also marked. This makes it easy to select the range of objects available to your telescope.
The first chapter of the hard-cover book, entitled "Overview Maps", consists of 136 pages of detailed maps, followed by the chapter "Astrophysical Guide to Deep-Earth Objects", which contains a pictorial and not least textual description of the objects seen from the map sheets, making the book a demanding publication of more than 240 pages.
Objects included in Égabros:
- 244 thousand stars,
- 6,300 binary and multiple star systems,
- 20 light-year star systems, the closest stars to the Sun,
- nearly 1000 variable stars,
- deep-sky objects up to at least 13 magnitude, i.e. 830 open star clusters and 20 asterisms, 230 diffuse nebulae, 80 planetary nebulae, all galactic globular clusters, 2000 galaxies, including members of the local galaxy cluster specifically marked, and dozens of galaxy clusters and quasars.
