E-Plössl eyepieces: E stands for simple. E stands for one step better. These eyepieces are offered as an alternative to the popular Barium eyepieces.
The four-element lens system promises better image quality than Barium eyepieces—especially in faster telescopes—at only a slightly higher price. A 1.25" filter thread, rubber eyecup, and anti-reflection coatings applied to all surfaces are standard features of these eyepieces. Their apparent field of view is approximately 50°, except for the 40 mm model, which offers approximately 43°.
