Baader Morpheus eyepieces attract discerning amateur astronomers with their premium quality and exceptionally wide field of view, all at an affordable price point below HUF 100,000. Like the Baader Hyperion series, they offer universally comfortable viewing thanks to their generous 17.5–23 mm eye relief. However, their even wider 76° field of view reveals a substantially larger portion of the sky than the human eye can take in at once without moving, creating an almost open-sky sensation and delivering the much-mentioned “spacewalk” experience.
The eight-element optical design arranged in five groups delivers a sharp, colour-neutral image across the entire field of view. Thanks to its lens system incorporating ED and Lanthanum glass, along with the anti-reflective coating known as Phantom Coating Group, tailored to the individual glass types, it offers outstanding light transmission and colour fidelity. The anti-reflection grooves eliminate ghost images.
Baader Morpheus eyepieces feature an M43x0.75 thread at the top for attaching various cameras and, like the Hyperion series eyepieces, offer both 2" and 1.25" barrel options at the bottom. Thanks to their meticulous design, they not only outperform their category optically, but also stand out in appearance: the manufacturer has fitted the substantial eyepieces (345 g–415 g) with rubberised ribs for a secure grip. What is more, their highly visible phosphorescent lettering makes them easy to identify even in the dark.
The 55 mm body diameter throughout the series also makes them ideal for binoviewer use. The box includes an M43/M43 extension tube, eyecup, dust caps and a protective case.
