Baader Morpheus eyepieces attract discerning amateur astronomers with their premium quality and exceptionally wide field of view, all at an affordable price below HUF 100,000. Like the Baader Hyperion series, they offer universally generous 17.5–23 mm eye relief for highly comfortable viewing. However, their even wider 76° field of view reveals a significantly larger area of the sky than the human eye can take in without moving, making the sky seem to open up before you and providing the much-praised “spacewalk” experience.
The eight-element optical design in five groups delivers sharp, colour-neutral images across the entire field of view. Thanks to the lens system incorporating ED and Lanthanum glass, along with the Phantom Coating Group anti-reflective coating tailored to each lens type, light transmission and colour fidelity are outstanding. Internal anti-reflection grooves eliminate ghost images.
Baader Morpheus eyepieces feature an M43x0.75 thread at the top for attaching various cameras and, like the Hyperion series eyepieces, offer both 2" and 1.25" barrel options. Thanks to their careful design, they excel not only optically but also in appearance and handling: the manufacturer has fitted the substantial 345–415 g eyepieces with rubberised grip ribs for secure handling. Their highly visible phosphorescent markings also make them easy to identify in the dark.
The 55 mm body diameter throughout the series also makes them ideal for binoviewing. The box includes an M43/M43 extension tube, eyecup, dust caps and a protective case.
