The Baader L-RGB Filter Set makes monochrome cameras suitable for creating color composite images. The filters' transmission has been optimized for CMOS cameras, but they can also be used with CCD cameras.
In the development of the Baader L-RGB Photographic CMOS Filter Set, designed for the new super-sensitive CMOS cameras, the manufacturer paid maximum attention to detail. CMOS cameras are highly sensitive to reflections and flares, which necessitated the creation of newly designed L-RGB filters with special anti-reflection coatings called Reflex-Blocker. Naturally, the edges of the lenses are also painted black to prevent flares. Moreover, a unique feature of the filters' design is that the edges are rounded by polishing before the coatings are applied, preventing moisture from entering the filter layers, which significantly extends their lifespan. Additionally, the Life-Coat coating makes the filter surfaces particularly resistant.
The transmission characteristics of the Baader L-RGB Photographic CMOS Filter Set have been tailored to the specifics of CMOS cameras. Using the 4-filter set, one will achieve completely color-accurate and tonally correct images: the digital images will reveal the object in colors as if viewed with the naked eye. The manufacturer also ensured that no focus adjustment is needed when switching between individual filters, meaning they are parfocal.
The filters are only 2 mm thin.
