The Baader Hyperion 24 mm eyepiece offers a wide 68° apparent field of view—just as much as the eye can take in at once without moving.
Its 8-element optical design arranged in five groups delivers a sharp, colour-correct image across the entire field of view, with a comfortable 17 mm eye relief. Thanks to its modern optical glass and special anti-reflective coatings, it provides exceptionally high light transmission and true-to-life colour reproduction. Anti-reflection grooves eliminate ghost images.
With the eyecup removed, an M43x0.75 thread is available at the top of the eyepiece for attaching various cameras. An M43/T2 adapter is required for this purpose.
The eyepiece provides a similarly wide area of sky to a longer focal length Plössl eyepiece, while the higher magnification makes celestial objects appear more spectacular. Unlike the smaller models in the series, its focal length cannot be changed.
The eyepiece is compatible with both 1.25” and 2” focusers.
