The Baader Hyperion 13 mm eyepiece offers a wide 68° apparent field of view—exactly as much as the eye can take in without moving.
Its 8-element optical design in five groups delivers sharp, colour-correction-free images across the entire field of view, with a comfortable 20 mm eye relief. Thanks to its modern glass types and special anti-reflection coatings, it provides exceptionally high light transmission and excellent colour fidelity. Anti-reflection threading eliminates ghost images.
Under the eyecup, the top of the eyepiece features an M43x0.75 thread for connecting various cameras. An M43/T2 adapter is required for this purpose.
The eyepiece provides a similarly wide area of sky as a longer focal length Plössl eyepiece, while its higher magnification makes celestial objects appear more spectacular. The focal length of the eyepiece can optionally be modified using fine-tuning rings or 2” Baader filters.
The eyepiece is compatible with both 1.25” and 2” focusers.
