The Armytek Wizard C2 WUV headlamp with cool white and UV light is a rechargeable pocket and headlamp, and a special member of the Wizard series. This multifunctional light features multiple adjustable white and UV light modes, making it an excellent choice for fieldwork, hiking, fishing and hunting thanks to its impressive performance. UV light is useful for desert expeditions, locating certain minerals, checking banknote authenticity and cleanliness inspections.
The two-piece headband included in the basic package keeps the light securely in place even during intense movement. Thanks to the easily removable belt clip, the light can be attached to various parts of your equipment. Its flat base allows it to be placed on horizontal surfaces, while its magnetic base enables attachment to steel surfaces, keeping both hands free.
The high-performance 1100-lumen LED provides a maximum beam distance of 98 metres. Its TIR optics deliver both a narrower 70° spot beam and wider 120° flood illumination, ensuring good visibility of the surrounding area without the distracting “tunnel vision effect”. The light is powered by one included 18650 Li-ion battery. The battery is charged using the supplied magnetic USB charger.
For UV lights, an important consideration is how much energy the illuminated surface receives to trigger fluorescence (a glowing reaction). In the case of the Wizard C2 WUV, its 1590 mW UV output is considered particularly high for a headlamp.
Its robust construction and well-considered design make the light extremely durable: according to the manufacturer, it can withstand drops from up to 10 metres without damage. The IP68 dust and water resistance rating ensures that the light can be used in water up to 10 metres deep for up to 2 hours.
The multicolour status indicator clearly displays the battery level and also warns of overheating.
