The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max Magnet USB rechargeable pocket and headlamp is a great example of how there is always room for a better, more powerful lamp. The manufacturer thought so too and created the latest, redesigned version of the flagship Wizard C2 Pro series. This is also a truly multifunctional lamp with brutal performance, suitable for fieldwork, hiking, fishing, hunting, etc.
Thanks to the headband included in the basic package and the easily removable belt clip, the lamp can be attached to numerous points on the body. Due to its flat base, it can be placed on horizontal surfaces, and with its magnetic base, it can adhere to steel surfaces, leaving both hands free. Moreover, with the optionally purchasable ABM-01 adapter, it can also be mounted on a bicycle.
The much larger 4000-lumen brightness Cree XP70.2 LED provides maximum brightness to illuminate the surroundings up to 114 m, which may not seem particularly large compared to the previous model, but the goal with this lamp was not just to maximize distance. Thanks to its 10 different modes, its brightness can be adjusted in several modes with a single switch on the side of the lamp. Among others, a strobe function for self-defense is also available.
Examining the lamp's optics reveals why the massive 4000-lumen performance was needed: Its latest developed TIR system optics can simultaneously provide a 110° spot light that cannot really be called narrow, while its large 150° light cone keeps the broader environment visible without the disturbing "tunnel vision effect."
The lamp is powered by a single included 5000 mAh capacity 21700 type Li-ion battery, but with the included adapter, it can also be operated with an 18650 battery, although in this case, the lower capacity battery may reduce the lamp's performance. The battery is charged using a standard USB connector with the included magnetic charging platform, which, thanks to the redesigned electronics, is twice as fast as previous Wizard models.
The robust construction and thoughtful design make the lamp extremely durable: according to the manufacturer, it can withstand drops from up to 10 meters. The highest IP68 level dust and water protection ensures that the lamp can withstand being submerged up to 10 meters deep for up to 2 hours without damage.
The outstanding ergonomics of the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max Magnet USB headlamp are ensured by the two-part headband made from non-slip material, which remains stable even during sports activities. The multi-color status indicator light clearly shows the charge level and warns of overheating.
