Why is the Sky-Watcher Amici prism polar scope attachment so useful? The polar scope on mounts is usually positioned at an angle and height that is far from comfortable. With the Sky-Watcher Amici prism polar scope attachment, polar alignment is more convenient, as you can look through it from a direction offset by 90°. Another advantage is that switching between 1x and 2x magnification makes the fine markings of the polar scope’s precession-corrected reticle easier to see, allowing for more precise alignment. The Amici prism design provides an upright image.
