The ZWO FF65APO 0.75× Full Frame Image Plane Corrector is specially designed for the ZWO FF65 apo binoculars. The primary purpose of this product is to ensure that stars appear point to point from corner to corner when using cameras with full frame size sensors.
When using the four-lens corrector, the focal length of the telescope is reduced by a factor of 0.75. This changes the f/6.4 aperture to f/4.8, allowing images to be taken with a shorter exposure time, which is advantageous for astrophotography. With the shorter focal length comes an increase in field of view. A 55 mm gap is needed between the M54 mount of the corrector and the camera sensor for optimal image quality.
