The TS MPCC 0.95x coma corrector/reducer combines the advantages of a short, two-lens coma corrector with a four-element but long construction for the correction essential in high-powered binoculars
.
The device fits into a 2" frame and is only 72 mm long, while other manufacturers' correctors optimised for f4 are 100 mm long. The advantage of the shorter design is that it "draws" a 20% more vignetting-free image: up to 35 mm aperture, no such optical "errors" need be expected. The manufacturer recommends the corrector up to f4 aperture, which has the important advantage of increasing the brightness by 5%, allowing even shorter exposure times. Its three-element lens system makes it similar to Wynne correctors.
The top of the TS MPCC 0.95x coma corrector/reducer features an M48 thread for camera attachment, while the 55mm sensor distance requires simple camera adaptation: all that's needed is an M48 ring to match the camera type. On the telescope side, there is a thread for mounting 2" filters.
