The Svbony SV106 50 mm Guide Scope with Tube Rings product works excellently with modern autoguiders. A major advantage is that it ends in a standard 31.7 mm (1.25") focuser with a T2 thread, allowing virtually any camera or eyepiece to be attached. Alignment is achieved with 6 small screws, offering a more stable attachment for autoguiding than the more common spring-loaded versions.
Thanks to its short construction, focusing will not be an issue. Coarse focus can be set with a 3 cm slider, while fine focusing is assisted by a helical focuser, which also features a T2 thread. Both systems are scaled, allowing values to be read. The objective lens has a 50 mm clear aperture and a 190 mm focal length, with all optical surfaces fully multicoated to reduce reflections. The tube is carefully baffled inside to prevent unwanted reflections, and there is a longer-than-average dew shield in front of the objective lens, providing effective protection against dew.
The mini guidescope is compatible with SkyWatcher finder shoes or can be mounted on top of Bresser Messier telescopes.
Weight is approximately 600g.
