The SkyWatcher 0.85x focus reducer/corrector is designed for the manufacturer's Evostar ED 80/600 telescope: by reducing the focus, the required exposure times are reduced by a third and the field of view is significantly increased. An additional advantage is that optical errors at the edge of the field of view are also reduced.
The corrector fits on the thread at the end of the telescope's focusing eyepiece (after removing the factory ring), with an M48 thread available for mounting the camera. The backfocus required is 55 mm.
