With the help of the ZWO motorized filter changer , we can easily and quickly change our filters from our computer , which provides significant convenience for both visual and photographic observations.

On the telescopic side of the filter changer we find a T2 thread, with which it can be easily connected to the eyepiece extension of our telescope. You can even connect a camera, DSLR camera or eyepiece to the T2 thread on the eyepiece side using the included adapters. It can be connected to a computer via a USB 2.0 port and, after installing the ASCOM driver, can be controlled by any compatible software.

The ZWO motorized filter changer is housed in a high-quality aluminum frame, is only 20 mm wide, weighs 300 and 400 grams, respectively, and is so small that it can even fit in the palm of your hand. Thanks to its slim design, it can be placed surprisingly close to the camera's sensor, so you don't have to worry about vignetting, even with bright binoculars. For example, when using an ASI 1600 camera, a brightness of up to f2 can be used with a 31 mm filter.

The filter changer can receive 5, 7 and 8 filters with or without sockets. So many different filters are already meeting the needs of a truly dedicated, serious planet and deep sky. What filters should I use with the filter changer? For visual deep-sky observations, light pollution filters and narrow-pass (UHC) and various line filters (OIII, H-beta) to improve the visibility of emission and planetary nebulae. For planetary observations, you can choose from a myriad of color filters that make it easy to see low-contrast surface details. For astrophotography, it is advisable to use L, R, G, B filters or narrowband filters (eg H-alpha, OIII, H-beta).
